reverie

Reverie is the series where I let go of definition.

These are long exposures made outdoors, most often at the ocean, in the hours when light is doing the most and asking the least. The shutter stays open. The figure moves. What returns is not a portrait but an impression: a woman half-here, dissolving into water and air with no sense of loss.

The moment before thought organizes feeling, when a woman is alone with herself and not yet performing anything, including her own identity.
